Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Yaremche, a town near Hoverla Mountain. Take the P-24 road towards the southeast. After approximately 15 kilometers, turn right onto the road leading to the village of Vorokhta. Continue driving for about 10 kilometers, and look for signs directing you to the parking area near Hutyn Tomnatyk. The last stretch of the road may require a 4x4 vehicle due to rough terrain. Parking is available nearby, but it may cost around 50 UAH for the day.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Ivano-Frankivsk to Yaremche, which operates frequently and costs around 150 UAH. Once in Yaremche, you can catch a local bus heading towards Vorokhta. After about 30 minutes, get off at the stop for the Hutyn Tomnatyk trailhead. From there, it's a short hike (about 2 kilometers) to reach the nature preserve. Ensure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary.
Hiking
If you're already in the Hoverla Mountain area and prefer hiking, you can access Hutyn Tomnatyk via marked trails. Starting from the Hoverla summit, follow the blue trail markers heading south. The hike will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, and you will enjoy stunning views of the surrounding Carpathian landscape. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking gear and bring enough water and snacks.
