Getting There

  • Metro

    If you are starting from the center of Kyiv, head to the nearest metro station, ideally 'Khreshchatyk' station on the Blue Line (M1). Board the train in the direction of 'Lisova' and travel for three stops. Get off at 'Arsenalna' station, which is known for being one of the deepest metro stations in the world. Once you exit the station, follow the signs towards 'Lavrska Street'. You will need to walk approximately 10-15 minutes downhill towards the Dnieper River. Follow 'Sofia's Street' until you reach 'Lavrska Street'. The entrance to Kiev Pechersk Lavra will be on your right.

  • Bus

    From the central area, make your way to 'Independence Square' ('Maidan Nezalezhnosti') where you can find several bus stops. Look for bus number 24, which heads towards 'Pechersk'. Board the bus and stay on for about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Lavra', which is directly in front of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra. The entrance to the complex is just a short walk from the bus stop.

    Navigate to the nearest tram station; a common starting point is 'Lva Tolstoho Square'. Take tram number 18 towards 'Pechersk'. Ride for approximately 15 minutes and disembark at 'Lavra'.
