Getting There

If you are in the center of Shevchenkivskyi District, simply head south towards Taras Shevchenko Boulevard. Walk along the boulevard until you reach the intersection with Independence Square (Maidan Nezalezhnosti). This is approximately a 15-minute walk depending on your starting point. As you approach the square, you will see the prominent Independence Monument, which is hard to miss.

If you are farther from the square, consider taking the Kyiv Metro. Find the nearest metro station to you, such as 'Universytet' or 'Zoloti Vorota'. Purchase a token at the kiosk (approximately 8 UAH). Take the metro line towards 'Maidan Nezalezhnosti' station. Once you exit the train, follow the signs to the exit. You will be directly at Independence Square.
