Walking
From the center of Footdee, head north towards the main road, which is Wellington Road. You can easily spot the road as it leads towards the entrance of the harbour. Once you reach Wellington Road, turn left and walk along the road for approximately 0.5 miles until you see a sign for Greyhope Road. Turn right onto Greyhope Road. Continue along this road, and you will see Torry Battery ahead on your left. The walk should take about 15-20 minutes.
Cycling
If you have access to a bicycle, you can take a more scenic route. Start from Footdee and head towards the waterfront along the beach path. Follow the path until you reach Greyhope Road. Turn right onto Greyhope Road and cycle for about 0.3 miles until you arrive at Torry Battery. This route may take around 10-15 minutes, depending on your cycling speed.
Public Transport (Bus)
Alternatively, you can take a bus to reach Torry Battery. From Footdee, walk to the nearest bus stop on Wellington Road. Catch the number 12 or 13 bus heading towards Torry. Get off at the 'Greyhope Road' stop, which is about a 5-minute ride. From the bus stop, walk back along Greyhope Road towards the Torry Battery, which is just a short walk away. The bus fare is approximately £1.50.
