Walking
Start your journey at the Union Square bus station in the city center. From the bus station, head south on Guild Street towards Bridge Place. Continue onto the A956, which becomes South College Street. Walk for about 15 minutes until you reach the junction with the A92. Cross the road, and follow the A92 heading south. After approximately 30 minutes of walking, you will come to a roundabout. Take the second exit onto the A90, and you will pass by the city outskirts. Continue on this road for about 1 mile until you reach a sign for Portlethen. Follow the signs and continue straight for another 10 minutes until you reach the Boswell's Monument located at 1, Aberdeen AB12 4YD.

From the Union Square bus station, take the Stagecoach bus number 19 towards Portlethen. The bus will take you directly to the Portlethen area. After approximately 20 minutes, disembark at the 'Portlethen' stop. From there, walk south on the A90 for about 15 minutes. You will see the Boswell's Monument on your right at 1, Aberdeen AB12 4YD. This method combines public transport with a brief walk.
