From Bath city center, head to the Bath Bus Station located on Dorchester Street. Look for bus services heading towards Shepton Mallet. The most common service is the 'Faresaver' bus (number 174 or 37) that operates frequently. Make sure to check the bus schedules as they may vary. Once you board the bus, enjoy the scenic ride which will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Shepton Mallet stop, which is the main stop in the town. From there, walk east on the High Street towards Frithfield Lane for about 10 minutes until you reach Shepton Mallet Prison.

From Bath Spa Railway Station, board a train heading to Shepton Mallet. You may need to change trains at Castle Cary, as there is no direct service. The train journey takes about 30-40 minutes. After arriving at Shepton Mallet station, exit the station and turn left onto the A37. Walk for about 15 minutes down the A37, then turn right onto Frithfield Lane. Continue walking for about another 5 minutes, and you will arrive at Shepton Mallet Prison.
