Car
If you are driving, start from Rothesay, the main town on Bute. Take the A844 road towards Port Bannatyne and continue onto the A885. Follow the signs to the ferry terminal at Wemyss Bay. Take the ferry to Rothesay and once you arrive, head towards the town center. Follow the Main Street (A846) towards Ayr. After approximately 15 miles, you will reach the town of Ayr. The Carnegie Library is located at 12 Main St, Ayr KA8 8EB. Look for public parking areas nearby, as parking is available in the vicinity.
