By day the emphasis stays on food and casual drinks. After dark the upper levels turn to louder music, resident DJs and dancing, with the ground floor remaining available for earlier arrivals.

Food, drink and timing

Signature drinks centre on vodka cocktails with a chain-wide happy hour offering two for twelve pounds on selected items Sunday to Friday evenings. Food service runs through the afternoon and evening but ends well before the latest bar closing times of 01:00 to 03:00. Bottomless brunch packages and cocktail masterclasses can be booked in advance. The venue maintains moderate pricing typical of a national chain rather than a premium independent bar.

Visitor flow and atmosphere

Most visits begin on the ground floor or rooftop for a meal or early drinks before some guests move upstairs for music or karaoke. Daytime remains relaxed with shoppers, tourists and some families present. Evenings bring after-work crowds and, on Friday and Saturday nights, a younger student and visitor mix focused on the clubroom. The rooftop draws steady use on clear warm days; the retractable roof keeps it usable in cooler or wet weather.

Access and surroundings

The building stands on a short central street between the Grand Arcade shopping area and the Downing and Pembroke college cluster. Several city bus routes stop within 150 metres at the St Andrew's Street interchange. Cambridge station lies 1.1 miles away with frequent buses taking nine to twelve minutes. Walking takes around twenty minutes on level pavements. No on-site parking exists; the nearest multi-storey at Grand Arcade is roughly 200 metres away but fills quickly during daytime hours.

Practical considerations

Smart-casual dress is expected in the evening with sportswear and football colours discouraged. A Check 21 policy applies after hours. Ground-floor access includes a short ramp while upper floors require stairs. The accessible toilet on the ground floor needs a radar key. Families are welcome during daytime hours but the late-night offer is adult-oriented. The venue continues under new ownership following the parent group's administration in early 2026.
