Walking
If you are staying near Cardiff city center, start by heading towards Queen Street. Walk straight down Queen Street until you reach the end and cross over to the other side towards St. John’s Church. From there, continue straight onto St. Mary Street, which will lead you to the bus station. Here, you can catch the number 24 bus towards 'Cyncoed' or 'Roath Park'. It will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Roath Park (Lake)'. From the bus stop, you can walk towards the lake, then follow the path that leads into the Wild Gardens, which is located on Wild Gardens Road. The entrance to Roath Park Wild Gardens will be on your left.

From Cardiff Central train station, exit the station and head towards the bus station within the same complex. Look for the number 24 or 25 bus that goes towards 'Cyncoed' or 'Roath Park'. These buses run frequently and the journey will take around 20 minutes. When you arrive at the 'Roath Park (Lake)' stop, disembark and walk towards the lake. Follow the pathway into the Wild Gardens area, which will be clearly marked. Enjoy the scenic views and the natural beauty of the gardens.
