    If you're starting from Cardiff Central Station, exit the station and head west down St Mary Street. Continue straight until you reach the pedestrian area of Queen Street. Turn left onto Queen Street and walk until you reach the end. At the end of Queen Street, turn right onto The Hayes. Continue straight, following the road as it curves right into St John Street. At the junction, turn left onto Castle Street. Walk along Castle Street until you reach the entrance to Bute Park on your right. Enter Bute Park and follow the paths through the park heading towards the north-west corner. After exiting the park, you will see Cardiff Cathedral. The Old Bishop's Palace is located adjacent to the cathedral, on Cathedral Green.

    From Cardiff Central Station, walk to the nearby bus stop 'Cardiff Central' (located outside the station). You can take the number 2 or 3 bus towards 'Cardiff Bay'. Get off at the stop 'Cathedral Road'. From there, walk towards the Cathedral. The Old Bishop's Palace is located on Cathedral Green, next to Cardiff Cathedral. It’s a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop.

  • Tram

    While Cardiff does not have a traditional tram system, the Cardiff Metro is in development. Currently, the best option is to use the bus or walk. However, once the tram system is operational, you will be able to take a tram from various points in the city that will connect to the city center. Once you arrive at any city center stop, follow the walking directions provided above to reach Old Bishop's Palace.
