From the heart of Cathays, start by heading south on Crwys Road. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Whitchurch Road. Turn left onto Whitchurch Road and walk for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Newport Road. Cross over to the other side of Newport Road, and continue straight along Whitchurch Road until you reach the traffic lights. At the traffic lights, turn right onto Lake Road West. Roath Park will be on your left after a short walk. The park entrance is marked, and it's a lovely area to explore.

If you prefer to take public transport, you can catch the Cardiff Bus service. Locate the nearest bus stop on Crwys Road and board the number 9 or 38 bus towards the city center. After a short ride (approximately 10-15 minutes), get off at the stop named 'Lake Road West'. From there, it’s a quick walk to the entrance of Roath Park, which is only about 5 minutes away. Be sure to check the bus schedule, as frequencies can vary. A single bus fare is around £1.50.
