If you are in the heart of Cathays, start at the intersection of Cathays Terrace and Crwys Road. Head down Crwys Road towards the direction of the city center. After about a 10-15 minute walk, you will reach the roundabout where you should take the first exit onto North Road. Continue walking straight for another 10 minutes until you see the entrance to Gorsedd Gardens on your left, just after passing the National Museum Cardiff.
