From the city center, walk to Patrick Street and find the nearest bus stop. Take Bus number 202 towards Blackrock. The bus will take you along the scenic route through Cork. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the Blackrock Castle stop. From the bus stop, walk along Castle Road for about 5 minutes, and you will reach Blackrock Castle Observatory on your left.

If you prefer walking, start from the city center and head southeast towards the River Lee. Follow the riverbank along the quays until you reach the bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight, following the signs for Blackrock. This route will take you through scenic areas and parks. It should take about 45 minutes to an hour to reach Blackrock Castle Observatory.

For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bicycle in the city. Take the bike path along the River Lee, heading southeast. Follow the path towards Blackrock, which will lead you through beautiful landscapes. Once you reach Castle Road, follow it directly to Blackrock Castle Observatory.
