Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, head towards Keswick from wherever you are in Cumbria. Take the A66 road and follow the signs for Keswick. Once you reach Keswick, follow the signs to the town center. When you arrive at the town center, look for signs that indicate 'Castlerigg Stone Circle'. Turn onto Castle Lane, and follow it until you see the stone circle on your left. There is parking available nearby, but it can get busy during peak times.

• Bus

  To reach Castlerigg Stone Circle by bus, take a bus to Keswick from any major town in Cumbria, such as Carlisle or Penrith. Once you arrive at the Keswick bus station, you can either walk to the stone circle, which is about a 30-minute walk, or catch a taxi. If walking, head towards the town center and follow the signs for the stone circle. Walk along Main Street, turn onto Castle Lane, and continue until you reach the stone circle.

• Train and Bus

  If you're traveling by train, get off at Penrith station and take a bus to Keswick. Once you arrive at Keswick, follow the bus guidance mentioned above. Alternatively, if you get off at the Keswick stop, you can also walk to Castlerigg Stone Circle from there. It's approximately a 30-minute walk. Just follow the signs or use a map app on your phone to navigate.
