Car
If you're traveling by car, the easiest way to reach Saint Bees Head Heritage Coast is to head west on the A66 from Penrith. Continue on the A66 until you reach the junction for the A595. Take the A595 towards Whitehaven and continue for approximately 20 miles. As you approach Whitehaven, follow signs for the A5094 towards St. Bees. Upon entering St. Bees, follow the signs to the beach and parking areas near 1 Trinity House Cottages, Sandwith, Whitehaven CA28 9UY. There is parking available, but please check for any charges applicable in the area.

Public Transportation
To reach Saint Bees Head Heritage Coast via public transportation, take a train to Whitehaven from either Carlisle or Penrith. The train journey typically takes around 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive at Whitehaven station, exit the station and catch the number 30 bus towards St. Bees. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. Alight at the stop close to the beach in St. Bees. From there, it's a short walk to Saint Bees Head Heritage Coast. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may vary.

If you are already within St. Bees, you can reach the heritage coast by walking. From the village center, head towards the coast following the signs for St. Bees Beach. The walk is approximately 1 mile and should take around 20-30 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views along the way as you make your way to the stunning cliffs of Saint Bees Head.
