Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start your journey from the nearest major town, such as Sheffield or Buxton. From Sheffield, take the A57 towards the Hope Valley. Continue on the A57 for approximately 12 miles until you reach the junction with the A6187. Turn left onto A6187, and follow the road for about 1 mile. You will soon see signs for Bamford Edge. There is limited parking available along Ashopton Road (S33 0AD) where you can park your car.

  • Public Transport (Train)

    For those using public transport, take a train to Hope station, which is on the Hope Valley Line. From Sheffield, the train journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Hope station, exit the station and head towards the village. From there, you can either take a taxi (approximately £5) to Bamford Edge or walk. If you choose to walk, it’s about a 30-minute walk (1.5 miles) along the A6187, which will bring you close to Bamford Edge.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    Alternatively, you can take a bus from nearby towns. From Sheffield, catch the number 273 bus, which goes to Hope. The bus journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive in Hope, you can either walk (about 1.5 miles) to Bamford Edge along the A6187 or take a taxi for approximately £5.
