    From Derry City Centre, make your way to the Foyle Bus Station located on Foyle Street. Look for the bus service to Coleraine, which operates regularly throughout the day. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Coleraine Bus Station, exit the station and catch the number 140 bus towards Downhill Beach, which will take you directly to the beach. The beach is a short walk from the bus stop.

    Start at Derry's train station, which is located on the Waterside. Take a train to Coleraine; this trip takes around 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Coleraine train station, exit the station and head to the bus stop nearby. Catch the number 140 bus that goes to Downhill Beach. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes.
