Getting There

• Bus

  From Derry city center, head to the bus station located at Foyle Street. You can take a bus from the station that heads towards Coleraine. Look for the bus service number 140 or 141, which travels to Castlerock. The journey typically takes around 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Castlerock bus stop, exit the bus and head south towards Sea Road. The Barmouth is located approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow Sea Road until you reach The Barmouth, which is a scenic point along the coastline.

• Train

  Start your journey at the Derry train station. Purchase a ticket for the train to Coleraine. The train ride will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Coleraine station, transfer to the local bus service that goes to Castlerock. You can catch the bus outside the station. After a short bus ride of about 15 minutes, get off at the Castlerock stop. From there, walk south along Sea Road for approximately 10 minutes to reach The Barmouth.

• Walking

  If you are in the vicinity of Derry and prefer to walk, head towards the River Foyle and follow the signs for the Peace Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue towards the A2 road. You can follow the A2 along the coast, but be prepared for a long walk of about 20 miles (approximately 6 hours). Alternatively, consider taking public transport to shorten your journey.
