    If you are driving from Exeter, take the M5 motorway heading towards Taunton. Merge onto the A38 at junction 31, then follow signs for Dartford and the M25. Continue on the M25 and take the exit for the A21 towards Sevenoaks. Follow the A21 until you reach the junction for the A25. Take the A25 exit towards Sevenoaks, then follow signs for Ivy Hatch. Turn onto Mote Rd, and you will find Ightham Mote on your left.

    To reach Ightham Mote via public transport, take a train from Exeter St Davids to Sevenoaks. Once you arrive at Sevenoaks station, catch bus number 402 towards the village of Ightham. After approximately 20 minutes, alight at the stop closest to Mote Rd. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk. Follow Mote Rd straight ahead, and you will arrive at Ightham Mote.

    If you are coming from Torquay, head north on the A3022 towards Newton Abbot. Merge onto the A38, then follow the signs for the M25. Once on the M25, continue until you reach the junction for the A21 towards Sevenoaks. Follow the A21 and then the A25, turning onto Mote Rd to reach Ightham Mote.
