Getting There

• Bus

  From Durham City Centre, walk to the Durham Bus Station. Board the bus to Lanchester (check for the X21/X22 or any other service heading that way). The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Lanchester, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, Hall Hill Farm is a short 15-minute walk. Exit the bus station and head north on Front Street, then turn left onto Lanchester Road (B6296). Continue straight until you see signs for Hall Hill Farm, which will be on your right.

• Train and Bus

  Start at Durham Train Station. Take a train to the nearest station, which is Chester-le-Street, and then transfer to the bus service towards Lanchester (check the bus schedule for the best connections). Upon arriving in Lanchester, exit at the main bus stop. Walk north on Front Street, then turn left onto Lanchester Road (B6296) and continue until you reach Hall Hill Farm on your right. This route might take a little longer, so plan accordingly.

• Walking

  If you’re feeling adventurous and up for a longer trek, you can walk from Durham to Hall Hill Farm. Start in the city centre and head out on the A690 towards the A167. Follow the signs for Lanchester, which is approximately 6 miles away. The walk will take around 2 to 2.5 hours. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated!

• Taxi

  For a quicker and more direct option, you can book a taxi from Durham City Centre to Hall Hill Farm. The journey takes approximately 20-25 minutes, depending on traffic.
