If you are starting from the Durham Cathedral, exit the cathedral and head towards the main road, Palace Green. Turn left onto the road and continue straight until you reach the traffic lights at the junction with North Road. Cross North Road and continue straight onto the A690. Walk along this road until you reach a small roundabout. Take the second exit onto the A177, which is also called the High Street. Follow this street until you see a sign for 'What Lies Beneath Us' on your right. The location should be within walking distance from here.
