Our family of 7 said this was our favorite activity in Edinburgh. The three older boys ( 17-12 years) were captivated by the competitive game, trying to be first to raise their house card to answer a question and earn points for their team. At the beginning they drew a house card from the sorting hat. Even my 5 year old twin girls were kept more entertained than I imagined because they could pretend to have an answer, and were raising their house cards during random moments. This could have been annoying to the guides, but they were always in great humor. Their joy on the topic was contagious as we walked and talked about JK Rowling, her books, and inspirations, they also indulged us with another must-know story related to a tavern we walked by, a few good tips for Edinburgh and spoke with me about the best places to buy Butter Beer with the children and what to possibly avoid. My oldest son made sure that I left a review because he enjoyed interacting with the guides so much. They always waited for us when we lagged behind with the little girls, they wouldn't say anything important before everyone was close enough, They were loud and clear, I didn't miss a word, They were responsible to keep an eye out for everyone else in our group. Ryan and Syciae were great guides.

Entertaining

Lafayette was our tour guide. Sometimes, he was loud and startling, and at times he was barely audible. But overall, he was very lively, entertaining and informative. The tour route hit some interesting places, including a cemetery and 25 minutes underground. The stories were captivating, and he engaged the audience well.
