If you're traveling by car, head towards Dochgarroch Cottages, Dochgarroch, Inverness IV3 8JG. From Inverness city center, take the A82 road heading south. After about 2 miles, turn left onto the B862 towards Dochgarroch. Continue on this road for about 1.5 miles and you will reach Dochgarroch Lock. There is parking available nearby at the Loch Ness by Jacobite site.

To reach Dochgarroch Lock using public transport, take the Citylink bus (number 919 or 920) from Inverness city center towards Fort Augustus. Get off at the Dochgarroch stop (approx. 15 minutes). From the bus stop, it's a short 10-15 minute walk to Dochgarroch Lock. Walk down the B862 road towards the loch, and you will arrive at the Jacobite boarding point.
