    From the city center of Inverness, head south on Academy Street towards the River Ness. Continue straight until you reach the bridge over the river. Cross the bridge and follow the path along the riverbank. This path will lead you to the A82 road. Turn left onto A82 and keep walking until you reach the bus stop for Fort Augustus.
