If you are driving, start from Stornoway, the main town on the Isle of Lewis. Head southwest on the A857 road towards Barvas. After approximately 10 miles, take a right onto the A859 road towards Shawbost. Continue on the A859 for about 7 miles, passing through the village of Shawbost. You will then reach the turnoff for the B8011 road. Turn left onto B8011 and follow it for about 3 miles. Look for signs indicating the route to Loch Airidh na Mhean. The loch will be on your right, and there are parking areas available nearby.

From Barvas, you will need to arrange for a taxi to take you the remaining distance. Taxis are available at the bus stop, but it’s advisable to book in advance. The taxi ride to Loch Airidh na Mhean will take approximately 15-20 minutes.
