Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the immediate vicinity of Kensington High Street, head south towards Kensington Gardens. From the High Street, turn right onto Kensington Gardens, and continue walking straight. You will see the entrance to Kensington Palace on your left, just past the beautiful gardens. The walk should take about 10-15 minutes depending on your starting point.

• Public Transport - Bus

  For those starting further away, you can take the bus. Look for the nearest bus stop and take any bus heading towards Kensington. Buses like the 10, 27, or 328 will take you to the Kensington High Street. Once you get off at the stop, walk south towards Kensington Gardens, and you will find Kensington Palace within a short walking distance. The bus fare is typically around £1.75 for a single journey if you use an Oyster card or contactless payment.

• Tube - Underground

  If you're near a Tube station, take the District Line or the Circle Line to 'Kensington (Olympia)' or 'High Street Kensington'. From Kensington (Olympia), exit the station and head east towards Kensington High Street. From High Street Kensington, walk south towards Kensington Gardens. If you arrive at High Street Kensington station, simply exit and walk south, following the same route as described earlier. A single journey on the Tube costs between £2.40 and £6, depending on the time of day and the payment method you choose.
