Beetham Tower: Manchester's Iconic Skyscraper

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from Manchester Piccadilly Station, exit the station and head towards the main road (Piccadilly). From there, turn left onto Piccadilly and follow it until you reach the junction with Portland Street. Turn right onto Portland Street and continue straight until you reach the end of the street where it meets Deansgate. Turn left onto Deansgate, and Beetham Tower will be on your right at 301 Deansgate. The walk should take approximately 20 minutes.

• Tram

  From Manchester Piccadilly Station, head to the nearby Piccadilly Gardens tram stop. Take the Metrolink tram towards Altrincham or Eccles. Get off at Deansgate-Castlefield tram stop. Once you exit the tram, walk towards Deansgate and turn left. Continue walking for about 5 minutes, and Beetham Tower will be on your left at 301 Deansgate.

• Bus

  From Manchester Piccadilly Station, make your way to the bus terminal just outside the station. Look for bus services that go to Deansgate; numbers 2, 3, and 50 are good options. Ride the bus until you reach the Deansgate stop. Once you get off, walk a short distance towards Deansgate, and Beetham Tower will be directly in front of you at 301 Deansgate. This journey should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.

• Cycling

  If you're renting a bike in Manchester, start at any bike rental station near Piccadilly Gardens. Follow the signed cycle routes towards Deansgate. You’ll cycle along the designated lanes on Portland Street and then onto Deansgate. Be cautious as you approach the junctions, and Beetham Tower will be on your right at 301 Deansgate. The cycling distance is about 1.5 miles and should take around 10 minutes.
