The Memorial Gardens in Norwich commemorate the citizens who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars. Designed with a stone of remembrance by renowned architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, the memorial was unveiled on 9 October 1927. Originally positioned near Norwich Guildhall, it was relocated in 1938 to its current prominent site in front of City Hall as part of the garden's creation from cleared municipal buildings.
