Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from Nottingham Railway Station, exit the station and head towards the main road (Station Street). Turn right onto Station Street and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the A6019 (London Road). Continue along this road until you reach the traffic lights. Turn left onto the A60 (North Church Street). Follow this road as it becomes Long Row. As you walk, you will see the Nottingham Council House ahead. Continue walking straight until you reach Old Market Square, which is a large open area surrounded by shops and cafes.

• Tram

  If you are near the Nottingham tram system, find the nearest tram stop and take the tram towards 'Clifton South' or 'Toton Lane'. Get off at the 'Old Market Square' stop, which is one of the central stops. Upon exiting the tram, you will find yourself directly in Old Market Square, a vibrant area perfect for exploring.

• Bus

  Locate a bus stop and check for buses heading towards the city center. Lines such as the Nottingham City Transport buses will take you directly to the city center. Ask the driver for the nearest stop to Old Market Square, or look for stops named 'Market Square' or 'Old Market Square'. After disembarking, follow the signs towards the square, which is a short walk away.

  If you have access to a bike, Nottingham has several bike rental services. Start by locating a bike station near you. Once you have a bike, head towards the city center by following the designated bike lanes. You can use a cycling app for the best routes. Make your way towards the center, and you will easily find Old Market Square, which is a popular destination.
