If you are traveling by car, you will first need to navigate to the main town of Kirkwall in Orkney. From Kirkwall, take the A964 road towards Stromness. Continue on the A964 until you reach the junction with the A965. Turn left onto the A965, and then take the A966 towards Tingwall. Follow the A966 for approximately 5 miles. The loch will be on your left, and there are several pull-off areas where you can park to enjoy the views.

Once you arrive in Stromness, you will need to transfer to another bus heading towards Tingwall. Check the local bus schedule, as these services may not run frequently. The bus will take you directly to Tingwall, where you can disembark close to the loch. Be sure to confirm the stop with the driver, as the bus may not go directly to the loch itself, and you might need to walk a short distance.
