Car
If you are driving, start your journey from Lerwick, the main town in Shetland. Head northwest on Hillhead towards the A970 road. Continue on the A970 for approximately 10 miles until you reach the junction with the A971. Turn left onto the A971 and drive for another 4 miles. Look for the signpost directing you towards Stanydale Temple. After turning onto the minor road, follow it for about 1 mile until you see the entrance to Stanydale Temple on your left. There is no entrance fee.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the bus from Lerwick to Brae on the A970 route. Buses usually run every 1-2 hours. Ask the driver to let you off at the Stanydale Temple bus stop. From there, it is a short 15-minute walk along the minor road leading to the temple. Please check the Shetland Islands Council website for updated bus schedules. The bus fare is approximately £3-£5, depending on your starting point.
