The Haining Estate traces its origins back to the 15th century, with the present Palladian mansion constructed in the 1790s by the Pringle family, who owned the property from 1701 onward. Over time, the house was extensively remodelled around 1819, embodying the elegance and grandeur typical of Georgian architecture. The estate remained a private family residence until 2009, when Andrew Nimmo Smith bequeathed the house and grounds to The Haining Charitable Trust, ensuring its preservation and public accessibility.

The house overlooks the serene Haining Loch, framed by wooded grounds and gardens.
