If you're traveling by car, start from Lerwick, the largest town in Shetland. Head northwest on the A970 towards the north. Continue on the A970 for about 10 miles until you reach the junction with the A971. Take the A971 and follow the signs towards Northmavine. After approximately 5 miles, watch for a sign for The Cabin Museum. Turn onto the B9076, and follow the road for about 2 miles. The museum will be on your right. There is free parking available nearby.

To reach The Cabin Museum using public transport, take the bus from Lerwick. Board the bus heading towards Brae (Bus service 14). The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Northmavine stop. From there, you will need to walk about 1 mile along the B9076 road towards the museum. The museum will be on your left. Be sure to check the local bus schedule in advance, as services may vary.
