Travel Guide to St Michael's Parish Church

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from Stirling City Centre, head south on King Street towards the River Forth. Cross the Forth via the Old Bridge and continue along the riverside path until you reach the A9 road. Turn left onto the A9 and walk towards Linlithgow. After about a 30-minute walk, you will reach the Linlithgow train station. From there, take the train heading south towards Edinburgh. The journey to Linlithgow will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Linlithgow station, exit and head east on Station Road. Follow the road until you reach the main street, then turn left onto High Street. Continue straight until you reach Kirkgate, where St Michael's Parish Church is located. The church will be on your right.

• Bus

  From Stirling City Centre, walk to the bus stop located on Goosecroft Road. Look for a bus heading towards Linlithgow, such as the X26 or 38 service. The bus ride will take around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Linlithgow, disembark at the main bus stop on High Street. From there, walk east along High Street until you reach Kirkgate. St Michael's Parish Church will be on your right side.

• Train

  From Stirling railway station, you can take a direct train to Linlithgow. Check the train schedules and board a train heading to Edinburgh Waverley. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes. Upon arrival at Linlithgow station, exit the station and turn right onto Station Road. Follow Station Road until it merges with High Street, then turn left. Continue walking until you reach Kirkgate, where St Michael's Parish Church is located on your right.
