From central York, take the A59 road heading west towards Harrogate. After around 18 miles, merge onto the A1(M) motorway southbound towards London. Continue for approximately 20 miles until you reach Junction 50, then take the A6055 exit towards Leyburn. Follow the A6055 for about 12 miles until you reach the A684. Turn right onto the A684 and continue for 5 miles. Bolton Castle will be on your left at Nr Leyburn, North Yorkshire DL8 4ET.
