If I could give Kes 10 stars for the Highwayman Tours, I would!!

If I could give Kes 10 stars for the Highwayman Tours, I would!! I had an incredible time exploring the surrounding area of York and learning so much history I didn’t know was on my doorstep! I would highly recommend Highwayman Tours for that personal touch of going above and beyond, that you wouldn’t get from a standard coach tour.

York Beyond the Walls Four Scenic Locations in North Yorkshire

Just What We Wanted

We wanted a one-day, affordable custom tour with a guide who was personable and insightful. Kes delivered. From booking to pickup to tour stops along the north coast, our experience was seamless and engaging. We had a comfortable pace and crowds were minimal. We visited ruins at Pickering Castle and Whitby Abbey—don’t miss that!—and took on the steep trek into the charming town of Robin Hood’s Bay. Kes let us know what to expect mobility wise and we chose our own adventure. We appreciated the conversation while driving through the beautiful York countryside. It was like visiting a friend who knew all the best places and loved showing you around. Highly recommend for small group experience. Thanks, Kes!

North York Moors Private Tour day trip incl Steam Train & Whitby

Wonderful discovery of North Yorkshire.

Really enjoyed this trip around Yorkshire. Beautiful landscape and amazing old coastal towns. Transport was great and suited us as it was not to big and slowed us to get to know our host, Greg, who was able to spin us a few yarns and point out interesting facts along the way. Steam train was a real highlight. Highly recommended.
