If you're driving from the city of York, take the A59 road heading west. After approximately 25 miles, turn onto the A1(M) motorway heading southbound. Continue for about 15 miles until you reach the A684 exit for Leyburn. Follow the A684 for around 10 miles, passing through the village of Bainbridge. Stay on the A684 until you reach the signs for Bolton Castle, which will be on your left. There is parking available at the castle, and it typically costs around £3 for the day.
