From York city center, take the A19 road northbound. Continue on the A19 for about 20 miles until you reach the junction for the A170. Take the A170 exit towards Thirsk/Scarborough. After about 8 miles, look for signs to Rievaulx Abbey and turn left onto Rievaulx Bank. Continue on this road for about 1 mile and you will find Rievaulx Abbey on your left. There is a parking area available on-site, but please note that there may be a parking fee, typically around £5.
