    Getting There

    Car

    From Durazno, head west on Route 5 towards Montevideo. Continue for approximately 130 kilometers until you reach the outskirts of Montevideo. Take the exit for Route 1 towards the city center. Follow the signs for 'Cerro' and merge onto José Batlle y Ordóñez. Continue straight until you reach Fortaleza del Cerro, located at José Batlle y Ordóñez S/N. Parking is available near the entrance.

    Bus

    Start at the Durazno Bus Terminal. Take a bus to Montevideo. Several companies operate this route, including COT and Copsa. The journey takes about 2-3 hours and costs around 300-500 UYU. Once you arrive at Terminal Tres Cruces in Montevideo, transfer to a local bus (either Line 154 or 113) that goes to Cerro. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to José Batlle y Ordóñez and walk to Fortaleza del Cerro, which is a short distance away.
