Car
If you are driving from the center of Jose Ignacio, head southeast on Route 10 (Ruta 10) towards Punta del Este. Continue on Route 10 for about 25 minutes, keeping an eye out for signs indicating Punta del Este. As you approach Punta del Este, you will enter the city and can follow the signs for the coast. Once you reach the coastline, look for Avenida Gorlero, and continue until you reach the intersection with Calle 27. Turn left onto Calle 27 and continue until you arrive at El Faro, located at 20100 Punta del Este.
Public Transport
To reach El Faro via public transport from Jose Ignacio, you can catch a bus from the main bus stop in Jose Ignacio heading towards Punta del Este. Buses run regularly throughout the day. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Punta del Este bus terminal, exit the terminal and walk towards Avenida Gorlero. From there, you can either walk straight to the coast and then toward Calle 27 or take a local taxi for a quicker ride directly to El Faro, which is located at 20100 Punta del Este.
