Start from the center of Lavalleja. Head east on Avenida José Artigas towards Ruta 8. Continue on Ruta 8 for approximately 15 km until you reach the intersection with Ruta 109. Turn right onto Ruta 109 and continue for about 10 km. Look for signs pointing to Cerro de los Toros. As you approach the mountain, you may need to take a dirt road that leads up to the parking area near the base of the mountain. The entire drive should take around 30-40 minutes.
Public Transportation
From the main bus station in Lavalleja, take a local bus heading towards Maldonado. Confirm with the driver that they stop near Cerro de los Toros or in the vicinity.
