Bus
From the main bus terminal in Maldonado, take the bus heading to Punta del Este. Make sure to confirm with the driver that it stops near 'Faro de Punta del Este'. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in Punta del Este, get off at the stop closest to the lighthouse, which is usually near the intersection of Avenida Roosevelt and 2 de Febrero. From the bus stop, walk east on 2 de Febrero for about 10 minutes until you reach the lighthouse.

If you are in the central area of Maldonado, walk towards Avenida Gorlero. From there, continue straight until you reach the bus terminal. From the terminal, follow the previous instructions to take the bus to Punta del Este. Alternatively, if you prefer to walk, you can head southeast along Calle 25 de Mayo until you reach the coast, then follow the coastline towards the east until you reach Faro de Punta del Este. This walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
