Car
Starting from the center of Queguay, head south on Route 3. Continue driving for approximately 10 kilometers. You will pass through beautiful countryside and may also see some local farms. After 10 kilometers, keep an eye out for the signs indicating the turnoff for Route 26. Turn left onto Route 26 and continue for another 5 kilometers. Look for signs pointing towards Rio Oueguay Grande; the river is located off Route 26, where you will find access points to enjoy the scenic views.
Public Transportation
From the main square in Queguay, locate the bus terminal. Look for buses heading towards Paysandú or other nearby towns, as they often stop near Rio Oueguay Grande. The fare should be around 150-200 UYU (Uruguayan Pesos) depending on the bus company. Inform the bus driver that you want to get off at the stop for Rio Oueguay Grande. The bus journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. After disembarking, follow the signs or ask locals for the nearest access point to the river.
Bicycle
For a more adventurous route, consider renting a bicycle in Queguay. Start your ride heading south on Route 3, then take the left onto Route 26 after about 10 kilometers. The ride will be approximately 15 kilometers in total and can take about an hour depending on your pace. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay hydrated, as the weather can be warm.
