Car
From the center of Sierras de Carapé, head south on Route 9 (Ruta 9) towards San Carlos. Continue on Ruta 9 for approximately 12 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 60 (Ruta 60). Turn left onto Ruta 60 and follow the signs towards San Carlos. After about 5 kilometers, you will see signs for Barrancas Altas. Turn right onto the unpaved road leading to Barrancas Altas. Follow this road for approximately 3 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Barrancas Altas.
Public Transportation
To reach Barrancas Altas via public transportation, first take a bus from Sierras de Carapé to San Carlos. The bus station in Sierras de Carapé is located on Avenida del Libertador. Buses to San Carlos run regularly throughout the day, and the journey takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive in San Carlos, you will need to take a taxi to Barrancas Altas as there is no direct bus service. The taxi ride will take about 15 minutes and cost approximately 300-400 Uruguayan Pesos.
