Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the center of Punta del Este. Take Avenida Gorlero heading southeast. Continue straight onto Rambla Claudio Williman, which will lead you along the coastline. After approximately 2 kilometers, turn left onto 2 de Febrero street. Continue on 2 de Febrero for about 1 kilometer, and you will see Faro de Punta del Este on your right. Parking is available nearby, but it may incur a small fee depending on the season.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, begin at the Punta del Este bus terminal located on Calle 24. Look for buses heading towards La Barra or José Ignacio, as these routes will take you along the coastal road. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at the Faro de Punta del Este stop, which is approximately a 15-20 minute ride. Be prepared to pay the bus fare, which typically costs around 50-100 Uruguayan Pesos. Once you get off the bus, the lighthouse will be within walking distance.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Punta del Este. Head southeast along the coast on Rambla Claudio Williman, enjoying the scenery as you ride. After approximately 2 kilometers, turn left onto 2 de Febrero street and continue for another kilometer until you reach the Faro de Punta del Este. The ride is relatively flat and safe, making it a pleasant option for outdoor enthusiasts.

• Walking

  If you are staying in the central area of Punta del Este and prefer walking, head southeast along Avenida Gorlero towards the beach. Once you reach Rambla Claudio Williman, follow the boardwalk for about 2 kilometers. Turn left onto 2 de Febrero street, and after a short walk of about 1 kilometer, you will arrive at Faro de Punta del Este. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes as the walk can take around 30-40 minutes.
