Walking
Start from the center of Blanding at the intersection of Main Street and 200 South. Head east on 200 South for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with US-191. Turn left (north) onto US-191 and walk for approximately 1 mile. Continue walking until you reach the junction with UT-211. Turn right onto UT-211 and proceed for about 12 miles. You will see the Newspaper Rock State Historical Monument on your left. It's a prominent rock face along the roadside with a parking area available.

Begin at the Blanding City Park located at 200 South Main Street. Ride east on 200 South for about 0.5 miles to US-191. Turn left onto US-191 and cycle north for about 1 mile. At the junction with UT-211, turn right and continue for about 12 miles. The Newspaper Rock State Historical Monument will be on your left. Make sure to wear a helmet and be cautious of traffic, especially on US-191.

From Blanding, take the local bus service available at the Blanding Transit Center on Main Street. Ask the driver for a ride towards Monticello. Get off at the stop nearest to the junction of US-191 and UT-211.
