If you are traveling by car, start by navigating to Highway 89. From the north, you can enter Highway 89 from Kanab, Utah. From the south, you can enter from Page, Arizona. Head east on Highway 89 until you reach the junction with Highway 98. Take the exit for Highway 98 and continue for about 10 miles. Look for signs indicating the turn-off for Lake Powell and Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Follow the signs and take the road leading to the Defiance House area. Be aware that parking may be limited, so arrive early to secure a spot.
Public Transportation
Travelers can take a Greyhound bus or local shuttle services to Page, Arizona. Once in Page, you can utilize a local taxi service or ride-sharing app to reach the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Be sure to check the availability of services as they may vary. The driver will take you to the entrance of the area where you can find directions to Defiance House. Note that admission fees to the recreation area may apply, so be prepared for any entrance fees.
Walking
