If you are driving from Moab, head south on US-191 S for approximately 30 miles. When you reach Monticello, turn left onto US-491 S and continue for about 5 miles. You will then turn right onto UT-46 W. Follow this road for approximately 12 miles until you reach the Dark Canyon Wilderness Trailhead. Ensure your vehicle is equipped for unpaved roads, as the last stretch can be rough.
