From Canyonlands National Park, exit the park and head south on UT-191 S. Continue for approximately 30 miles until you reach the junction with I-70. Take the I-70 W exit towards Salina. After about 26 miles, take exit 40 for US-89 S toward Kanab. Follow US-89 S for about 60 miles until you reach the junction with UT-14. Turn left onto UT-14 E and follow it for about 20 miles until you reach Cedar City. Once in Cedar City, continue on UT-14 until you reach the intersection with Main St. Turn left onto Main St, and Dixie National Forest will be located at 820 N Main St, Cedar City, UT 84721. Note that parking is typically available, but check for any potential fees.
Public Transportation
While public transportation options are limited, travelers can take a Greyhound bus from Moab to Cedar City. From the Cedar City bus station, you may need to take a taxi or rideshare service to reach Dixie National Forest, located at 820 N Main St, Cedar City, UT 84721.
