Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Moab, take US-191 North toward Monticello. After approximately 10 miles, turn right onto UT-313. Follow UT-313 for about 22 miles until you reach the Canyonlands National Park entrance. Once inside the park, follow signs for the Island in the Sky District. Continue on the main park road for about 12 miles until you see signs for the Mesa Arch Trailhead on your right. The trailhead parking lot will be on your right, where you can park your vehicle.

• Public Transportation

  Public transportation options are limited in the Canyonlands area. However, you can take a shuttle from Moab to Canyonlands National Park. Check with local shuttle services for availability and schedules. Once you arrive at the park, you will need to arrange for a ride or use the park's shuttle service if available to reach Mesa Arch Trailhead. Be aware that shuttle services may have specific stops, and you may need to walk a short distance to the trailhead.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous, consider biking to Mesa Arch Trailhead. You can rent a bike in Moab and take US-191 North to UT-313 as described earlier. The bike ride is approximately 32 miles round trip, with a scenic route. Ensure you have enough water and supplies for the ride, and be cautious of traffic along the highway.

• Hiking

  For those already within Canyonlands and looking to hike, you can hike from the nearest campground or visitor center. However, keep in mind that this will require planning, as trails may vary in distance. Make sure to carry sufficient water and snacks and inform someone of your plans before heading out.
